AMIT GPS & NAVIGATION LLP in Saudi Arabia seeks an IT Support Engineer to provide desktop and IT infrastructure support for end-users, manage hardware, and ensure printer and peripheral operations.

The role includes remote support for AMIT offices globally, involvement in IT security, governance, and collaboration with local and global IT teams. A 4–5 year background in desktop support and a Bachelor’s degree in IT or CS are required, with relevant certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-user computing, network infrastructure, and on-site IT setups.
• Coordinate hardware procurement, vendor management, and asset lifecycle tracking.
• Oversee LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi deployments, firewalls, and connectivity.
• Ensure high availability and uptime of IT systems.
• Provide technical support for desktop systems, hardware and peripherals, including printer support.
• Deliver remote support or on-field visits to Stores & Warehouse offices.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues to maintain performance.
• Support ERP and SAP B1 integrations and deployments.
• Coordinate IT security policies and data protection compliance.

Job Title: IT Support Engineer

Employment Type: Full-Time, on-site

Location: KSA - Al- Khobar, Al-Sedfah

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Desktop Support Engineer having experience of 4-5 years based in KSA Al- Khobar, Al-Sedfah. The IT Support Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support for desktop systems, managing computer hardware, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring smooth printer and peripheral operations. The role also includes remote support for AMIT offices globally. You will diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, support end-users, and maintain system performance to ensure uninterrupted workflow. Beyond day-to-day desktop support, the role also contributes to broader IT infrastructure, applications, security, and governance activities as outlined below, acting as a trusted partner for all tech-related needs.

Key Responsibilities

IT Infrastructure & Operations

• Manage end-user computing, network infrastructure, and on-site IT setups.
• Coordinate hardware procurement, vendor management, and asset lifecycle tracking.
• Oversee LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi deployments, firewalls, and connectivity.
• Ensure high availability and uptime of IT systems.
• Conduct site assessments and IT readiness checks for AMIT Stores.
• AV system understanding Digital Sinage Screens.
• Provide technical support for desktop systems, computer hardware, and peripherals, including printer support and maintenance.
• Deliver remote support or as on-field visits to Stores & Warehouse offices when required.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues to maintain system performance and uninterrupted workflow.

Applications Management

• Coordinate enterprise applications (ERP).
• Manage user access and onboarding/offboarding.
• Work with vendors for support and enhancements.
• Support integrations with SAP B1.
• Ensure smooth deployment of IT tools.

IT Security & Compliance

• Implement IT security policies aligned with global standards.
• Manage endpoint security, antivirus, and patching.
• Support audits and compliance checks.
• Coordinate incident response.
• Ensure data protection and access governance.

Stakeholder Management & Communication

• Act as a bridge between local and global IT teams.
• Participate in regional/global IT discussions.
• Provide clear updates and documentation.
• Align with global IT standards and serve as a trusted partner for all tech-related needs.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proficiency in desktop computers and computer hardware.
• Hands-on experience in technical support and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of printer support and hardware maintenance.
• Ability to handle remote support and on-site client visits.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• KSA Driving License will be an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
