Job summary

Hollywood Casino St. Louis is hiring an IT Support Technician to provide end-user support for computers, applications, printers, phones, time clocks, and network connectivity.

The role requires knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office, with experience in imaging and hardware troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of related experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment at our St.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer technology or related field; 1–2 years related experience or training preferred.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft applications.
  • Working knowledge of Windows operating systems.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals and Active Directory administration.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Office suites, hardware, software, and OS imaging/restoration.
  • Cisco IP phones, Micros POS, AS/400, Bally ACSC support preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provides technical support for end-user computers, applications, printers, phones, time clocks, key control devices, network and application connectivity, and cell phones/radio devices.
  • Resolves and tracks end user software/hardware problems and identifies tech needs to streamline processes.
  • Troubleshoots hardware and software, including network gear, PCs, printers, phones, and time clocks.
  • Maintains phone system including moves, adds and changes; performs wiring and troubleshooting.
  • Keeps inventory and organization of hardware/software for quick service.
  • Supports and promotes superior customer service in line with standards.
  • Assists with remote access for vendor support during upgrades.
  • Troubleshoots network connectivity for property systems and manages network wiring.
  • Completes profile requests for network and property systems; manages user access per policy.
  • Consults with vendors to improve service and reduce problems.

  • Provides technical support for end user computers, applications, printers, phones, time clocks, key control devices, network and application connectivity, and cell phones/radio devices.
  • Resolves and tracks end user software/hardware computer problems and work with end users to identify technology needs that will help streamline their business processes
  • Troubleshoots hardware and software. This includes, but not limited to, network equipment, computers, printers, phones, time clocks, and key control devices.
  • Maintains phone system, including but not limited to moves, adds, and changes, along with occasional wire installation and system troubleshooting
  • Maintains inventory control for all hardware/software; maintains equipment organization to help expedite service.
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
  • Assists with the remote access process when vendors need to provide support for upgrades and troubleshooting issues.
  • Troubleshoots network connectivity for property systems and maintain network wire management.
  • Completes profile request administration for network and property systems; Add/change/modify end user access according to department and regulatory policy.
  • Consults with vendors to improve customer service and reduce problems in the environment.
  • Meets department uniform, appearance, and grooming requirements.
  • Keeps work area clean and free of safety hazards, debris, and litter.
  • Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
  • Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. /B.S.) in computer technology or related field from four-year college or university; one to two years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be highly proficient in all Microsoft applications.
  • Must have working knowledge of current Windows operating systems.
  • Must have comprehensive knowledge of networking fundamentals and Microsoft active directory administration.
  • Must have experience supporting current Microsoft Office suites, troubleshooting computer hardware, software, and operating systems, and performing computer imaging and restoration.
  • Cisco IP phones, Micros POS, AS/400, and Bally ACSC support experience is preferred.
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
