Job summary

Scion Staffing, Inc. is engaged to fill an IT Support Technician role for our client, an industrial solutions provider, onsite in Portland, OR.

You will configure, deploy, and maintain end-user devices, manage AD accounts, and provide training and help desk support in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of IT technical support experience.
• Windows 10 client OS configuration/administration.
• Office 365 including Word, Excel, and Outlook; basic AD/LDAP knowledge.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent customer service; work autonomously and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Accept technology support requests from employees and log details in the IT department service management system.
• Configure, deploy, and maintain end-user computers, peripherals, applications, and phones.
• Configure, deploy, and maintain network printers, multi-function devices, and other office technology systems.
• Test, deploy, and maintain client computer configurations and user application packages.
• Manage user and computer accounts in Active Directory and other internal and external services and databases.
• Keep computer and peripheral inventory organized and secure.
• Provide training on end-user systems and applications as needed.
• Document the request resolution process in the service management system.

Scion Technology has been engaged to conduct a search for an IT Support Technician for our client, an industrial solutions provider. This is an onsite Contract position based in Portland OR.

POSITION OVERVIEW

IT Support Technician provides end-user technology support and is responsible for the configuration, installation, maintenance, security, and troubleshooting of computers, laptops, peripherals, application software, phones, and other technology systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accept technology support requests from employees and record details in the IT department service management system.
• Configure, deploy, and maintain end-user computers, peripherals, applications, and phones.
• Configure, deploy, and maintain network printers, multi-function devices, and other office technology systems.
• Test, deploy, and maintain client computer configurations and user application packages.
• Manage user and computer accounts in Active Directory and other internal and external services and databases.
• Keep computer and peripheral inventory organized and secure.
• Provide training on end-user systems and applications as needed.
• Document the request resolution process in the service management system.

QUALIFICATIONS

• The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in IT technical support or related IT support role.
• Windows 10 client OS configuration and administration.
• Experienced in Microsoft Office including Office 365, Word, Excel, and Outlook; intermediate internet skills, basic understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP, WAN/LAN networks.
• Ability to work in a high-volume department; strong organizational skills; ability to consistently meet deadlines.
• Excellent customer service skills, ability to work autonomously, and as a team.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

This contract position offers an hourly pay rate of $27.00 - $30.00/hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
