Job summary

Texas Health Resources, Inc. IT Strategic Sourcing Specialist in Supply Chain Management seeks a professional to manage RFPs and drive supplier performance improvements. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to capture savings and supports the development of a strategic roadmap and contract calendar.

Qualifications

• Experience with RFP processes and category management is preferred.
• Ability to develop and use cost models to compare supplier options.

Responsibilities

• Manage the RFP process for strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Assist with monitoring supplier performance using measurement tools.
• Document and communicate identified vs. realized savings and drive necessary process changes.
• Assist Program Director with strategic roadmap and contract calendar for assigned category.
• Follow standardized sourcing processes and templates to ensure repeatability and auditability.
• Lead or assist with negotiation scenarios, cost models, and category development.

Work hours: Full Time Days (8:00am-5:00pm) for 40 hrs/week (Hybrid work allowed at manager's discretion)

What You Will Do:

Manage the RFP process for each strategic sourcing initiative within the assigned category and/ or service line. 35%
Assists with the monitoring of supplier performance through developing measuring tools and checking references. 15%
Documents and communicates the identified vs. realized savings and engages end users in needed process change or product conversion. 15%
Assist Program Director with the development and maintenance of a strategic roadmap and contract calendar for assigned category. 15%
Follow standardized sourcing processes and templates to support repeatability, auditability, and quality. 10%
Lead (or assist with) the development of negotiation scenarios, cost models, and category. 10%
