Qualifications

• Foreign education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet requirements and must be deemed equivalent to U.S. education.
• Evidence of foreign credential equivalency must be provided with the application.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical solutions, installations, repairs, and disposals of IT components.
• Monitors network systems to ensure hardware and software are functioning properly and standards are met.
• Uses and modifies established computer techniques to identify and resolve network-related problems with sound judgment.
• Performs Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) software maintenance as required.
• Conducts squadron level computer hardware, software maintenance and IT component inventories.
• Assists in administering new user requests for computer hardware and software, ensures facility environment and infrastructure support the request.
• Coordinates with base agencies and contractors to ensure compliance standards are met.
• Ensure virus protection software is present and updated, and performs virus scans on servers and workstations.
• Provides customer training and assistance for IT systems.
• Performs basic helpdesk duties such as receiving visitors, handling calls, creating user accounts, and providing orientation and training.
• Administer the unit computer security program.
