Job summary

TekWissen Group seeks an IT Specialist for an onsite, 12-month assignment in Oklahoma City, OK. You will provide hands-on technical support for engineering systems, troubleshoot diverse issues, and manage OS deployments across Windows, MacOS, and Linux environments.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent education/experience.
• 2+ years hands-on IT/engineering technical experience.
• Experience supporting Windows, MacOS, and Linux.
• Strong analytical and diagnostic abilities.
• Ability to document procedures and troubleshooting guides.
• Certifications preferred (e.g., Network/Security/AWS).

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical support for engineering systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, OS, connectivity, and storage issues.

Summary

• Engineering Specialist II responsible for hands-on technical support, troubleshooting, and engineering-related services.
• Supports engineering systems, workstations, storage devices, and technical equipment.
• Diagnoses and resolves hardware, software, operating system, connectivity, storage, and file system issues.
• Works in a fast-paced environment supporting engineering and business operations.
• Requires strong technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, communication, customer service, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical support for engineering systems, workstations, storage devices, and related equipment.

Required Skills

• Associate degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on technical experience in IT, engineering, or a related technical environment.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong analytical and diagnostic abilities.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS, and Linux operating systems.
• Basic understanding of file systems:
  • FAT
  • NTFS
  • HFS+
  • APFS
  • EXT
• Basic understanding of RAID technologies, including RAID 0 and RAID 1.
• Familiarity with storage systems and data management concepts.
• Knowledge of hardware diagnostics and system performance analysis.
• Experience documenting technical procedures and troubleshooting guides.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
