We are seeking an executive-ready, highly strategic IT Sourcing Lead / Director to join our global Strategic Sourcing & Procurement team. Operating in an individual contributor capacity, you will serve as a trusted advisor and commercial partner to senior technology leadership—driving high-value IT strategic sourcing initiatives, contract negotiations, and vendor engagements across a complex enterprise ecosystem.
This 6-month contract role is intentionally designed as a potential pathway to permanent conversion. You will manage end-to-end strategic sourcing cycles while navigating cross-functional partner networks including Legal, Information Security, Risk Management, and Finance.
Your daily responsibilities will be balanced across three primary pillars:
Business Relationship Management & Demand Intake (~33%)
Partner directly with senior business, functional, and technology stakeholders (VPs, SVPs, C-suite) to understand upcoming business needs and technical requirements.
Lead sourcing demand intake, evaluate market capabilities, and coordinate the progression of enterprise-wide IT sourcing initiatives.
Cross-Functional Execution & Workflow Management (~33%)
Manage hands‑on sourcing workflows through a highly matrixed enterprise structure.
Coordinate seamlessly with internal partner teams—including Legal, Information Security, Compliance, and Risk Management—to drive contracts from intake to execution.
Prepare concise executive summaries, business cases, and commercial proposals for presentation to Chief Technology Officers, CFOs, and executive leaders.
Strategic Sourcing, Market Research & Supplier Negotiations (~33%)
Conduct rigorous supplier research and benchmarking to formulate competitive go‑to‑market strategies.
Lead commercial and contractual negotiations for high‑value technology agreements to secure optimal commercial terms, pricing models, and service level agreements (SLAs).
We are seeking strong domain expertise in two or three of the following core technology categories:
Software (Enterprise SaaS, Cloud Licenses, On-Premise)
IT Professional Services & Consulting
Compute & Cloud Infrastructure
Storage
Networking & Telecommunications
(Candidates with broader procurement experience in Contingent Workforce, Marketing, or Supply Chain are also encouraged to apply, provided they meet the minimum IT procurement requirement).
Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of dedicated IT / Technology Procurement experience within a Fortune 500 or similarly complex, enterprise-scale environment.
Sourcing Mastery: Demonstrated track record owning strategic IT sourcing events from initial intake through strategy development, RFP execution, commercial negotiation, and final contract execution.
Executive Presence: Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; proven ability to build trust and articulate complex commercial strategies to senior executives.
Matrix Navigation: Proven success navigating complex internal governance processes (Legal, Infosec, Risk, Compliance) to maintain deal momentum.
Platform Experience: Hands‑on proficiency with enterprise procure‑to‑pay (P2P) platforms such as SAP Ariba (or equivalent e‑sourcing tools) is strongly preferred.
Industry Alignment: Prior experience in Financial Services or regulated corporate environments is preferred but not mandatory.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Technology, or a related field preferred.
Hybrid Schedule: Preferred candidates in New York, New Jersey, or Colorado will work on a hybrid schedule (2 days onsite weekly) to foster in‑person stakeholder relationships and align for full‑time conversion opportunities.
