Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin, Cockrell School of Engineering, seeks an Information Technology Coordinator II to sustain daily Service Desk and Field Service operations.

You will troubleshoot Windows and Mac systems, support networking, printers, and peripherals, and administer on-site and remote work in collaboration with faculty, staff, and researchers.

This role requires strong customer service, ability to work independently or on a team, and adherence to campus policies.

Qualifications

• Broad hardware, software, and networking IT components knowledge, from system administration to troubleshooting.
• Active directory, imaging tools, remote support tools familiarity.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Handle Service Desk phone, web, and in-person requests with professional communication.
• Troubleshoot Windows, MacOS, networking, printers, peripherals, and underlying infrastructure (on-site or remote).
• Provide frontline IT support across Research Centers, Academic Departments, and Administrative Units.
• Direct administration of systems: setup, configuration, network connectivity, VoIP, security, licensing, updates.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, UT System, Campus, School, and funding agency requirements.
