Job summary

Labcorp in Tucker, GA is seeking a Local IT Field Technician to install and support a variety of equipment, including HP PCs, printers, scanners, and Cisco networking devices. You will work with internal teams and clients, scheduling installs and trainings while traveling within the Atlanta and North Georgia markets.

This full-time, exempt role requires a valid driver’s license, at least one year in IT support, and the ability to lift up to 70 pounds.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform new installations and break/swaps: install and troubleshoot HP Win11 Enterprise computers, HP monitors, HP printers, scanners, label printers, and other equipment.
• Call clients (internal and external) to schedule installs, service calls, and trainings.
• Communicate via phone, email, text, and Webex with clients, sales, phlebotomy, warehouse, network operations, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Install and troubleshoot Cisco networking devices—Meraki VPN, WAPs, and patch panels—without running cabling.
• Order, maintain local IT hardware inventory, and handle RMA of devices.
• Connect, install, and troubleshoot internet sources.
• Install proprietary software and schedule onsite installations with clients.
• Configure and troubleshoot proprietary software, train clients onsite and via hosting Webex sessions.
• Clients include TR offices, hospital labs, Labcorp patient service centers, and internal support ops.
• Work with Active Directory, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Webex, Teams, ServiceNow, PeopleSoft, Bomgar.
• Work location is Tucker, GA, with partial work-from-home opportunity.
• Approximate territory includes Atlanta and North GA; travel ~10%.
• Support a variety of corporate and local IT projects.

Work Schedule

This is a full‑time, exempt (salaried) position assigned to a First Shift schedule, with standard business hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Business needs may occasionally require flexibility in work hours, including earlier, later, or additional hours, with reasonable notice provided when possible.

Job Responsibilities

• Local client‑facing IT field technician performs new installations and break/swap service: install and troubleshoot HP Win11 Enterprise computers, HP monitors, HP laser printers, Symbol barcode scanners, Dymo and Monarch label printers, and other specified equipment.
• Call clients (internal and external) to schedule new installs, service calls, and software trainings.
• Communicate via phone, email, text, and Webex with clients, sales, phlebotomy, warehouse, network operations, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Install and troubleshoot preconfigured Cisco networking devices—Meraki VPN, WAPs, and patch panels—without running cabling.
• Order, maintain local IT hardware inventory, and handle RMA of devices.
• Connect, install, and troubleshoot internet sources such as ATT Nighthawks, Verizon Dragons, Cisco MG41/51 and broadband modems.
• Install proprietary software and schedule onsite installations with clients.
• Configure and troubleshoot proprietary software, train clients onsite and via hosting Webex training sessions.
• Clients include trade‑off (TR) offices, hospital labs, Labcorp patient service centers, and internal employee support operations.
• Work with Active Directory (adding, deleting, moving PCs), MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Webex, Teams, ServiceNow Helpdesk ticketing software, PeopleSoft, Bomgar, and Webex.
• Work location is Tucker, GA, with partial work‑from‑home opportunity.
• Approximate assigned territory includes the Atlanta and North GA markets; subject to change.
• Occasional overnight travel of about 10%.
• Support a variety of corporate and local IT projects.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• At least one year of experience in an IT support role.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds.
• Ability to climb and work from a ladder as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Information Technology.
• At least one year of experience in a network environment.
• At least one year of experience in a field technician position.
