Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments and greet patients on arrival.
• Assist with registration and check-in procedures.

• Verify insurance coverage and post payments to accounts.
• Collect and prepare specimens when needed for testing.
• Call physician offices to confirm test orders.
• Monitor patient wait times and report issues promptly.
• Promote LabCorp patient services and manage office supplies.
• Open/close the office and perform administrative tasks.

Labcorp is seeking a Patient Intake Rep to join our team in Snellville, GA

Work Schedule

This is a Casual/Per Diem position; hours will be "as needed" and the start and end times will vary.

Job Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments and greet patients upon appointment arrival
• Ensure a welcoming environment for all patients and visitors
• Assist patients with registration and check in procedures
• Data entry of patient demographics and billing information
• Verification of insurance coverage and collect/post payments to patient accounts
• Collect and prepare specimens for testing and analysis when needed
• Call physician offices to confirm the accuracy of test orders
• Monitor and log patient wait times on a regular basis
• Notify the supervisor of any patient issues in a timely manner
• Promote and provide information about LabCorp patient services
• Manage office supplies to ensure proper inventory levels
• Open and close the office when required
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
• 1 year or more of patient facing healthcare experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years or more of healthcare and laboratory experience

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

PST’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
