Job summary

PeopleTec, Inc. is seeking an IT Service Support Specialist in El Paso, TX to deliver day-to-day technical support for a Ft. Bliss government customer. The role involves handling calls, tickets, and basic hardware/software troubleshooting to ensure timely resolution.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in IT support and a strong customer-service mindset, with readiness to work in a fast-paced, mission-focused setting and to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of IT support or related role.
• Basic knowledge of desktops, peripherals, and common IT equipment.
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to troubleshoot routine IT issues and document actions clearly.
• Experience with IT help desk, service desk, or ticketing processes.
• Strong customer service and communication skills for diverse users.
• U.S. Citizenship and active DoD Secret clearance required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a first point of contact for IT support requests via phone, email, ticket, or in person.
• Provide Tier 1 troubleshooting for desktops, peripherals, and networking basics.
• Create, update, track, and close IT service tickets per procedures.
• Diagnose and resolve basic hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Assist with workstation setup and asset inventory.
• Escalate complex issues to higher-level technical personnel as needed.
