Job summary

Impulse Space in Redondo Beach is seeking an Information Technology Intern, Service Delivery, to work with the IT Service Delivery team on day-to-day operations, from user support and hardware deployment to network troubleshooting and infrastructure projects.

This 12-week internship begins May/June 2027, offering hands-on experience in IT operations, onboarding/offboarding, asset management, and special projects with mentorship from full-time staff. Compensation is $30.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Strong interest in IT operations, service delivery, and infrastructure support.
• Basic networking concepts (IP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS) and OS (Windows, macOS).
• Willingness to learn and work hands-on in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist deployment, configuration, and maintenance of end-user systems (laptops, desktops, peripherals, mobile devices).
• Support onboarding/offboarding by imaging and configuring hardware.
• Participate in network troubleshooting and switch/access point deployments under supervision.
• Document and improve IT operational processes and runbooks.
• Provide hardware/software end-user support and issue resolution.
• Assist with low-voltage tasks and cable management.
• Support maintenance, inventory, and asset lifecycle management.
• Contribute to system upgrades and automation projects with mentorship.
