Read AI, Inc. is seeking a Security & IT Systems Engineer in Seattle to own IT and systems operations and share on-call security duties with the security team.

You’ll transform IT from a queue of requests into engineered, scalable systems, starting with onboarding/offboarding automation across Ravenna, Google Workspace, and Gusto. You’ll manage device fleets, identity and access, IT infrastructure, and security tooling, writing code in Python, Go, or TypeScript and using Terraform for IaC.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in IT operations, systems administration, or a similar hands-on role.
• Hands-on experience with MDM platforms and macOS fleet management.
• Practical identity administration: Google Workspace, SSO/SAML/SCIM.
• Strong automation ability with Python/Go/TypeScript; IaC with Terraform.
• Familiarity with AWS and cloud access models; proactive security mindset.

Responsibilities

• Device and fleet management: procure, image, refresh hardware and OS, and provide support.
• Identity and access: manage Google Workspace, SSO/SAML/SCIM, and onboarding/offboarding.
• IT support and infrastructure: handle requests, document self-service KF, manage office network.
• Security operations: phishing awareness and triage of security alerts.
• Engineering and automation: write code to automate IT tasks; use Terraform for IaC; deliver tooling initiatives.
