Job summary

Etched in San Jose is seeking an IT Engineer to maintain a high‑velocity engineering and operations environment. You’ll drive IT delivery across design teams, operations, and scale‑out computing, ensuring security, reliability, and rapid access for all staff.

Key responsibilities include onboarding/offboarding, asset management, VPNs and firewalls, and automated provisioning with Rippling, Okta, and Google Workspace. A strong Linux/Windows/macOS background and startup experience are ideal.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years in an IT support or engineering role with macOS, Windows and Linux experience.
• Experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Hands-on expertise with endpoint management tools such as Jump, Jamf, Intune, Kandji.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on IT delivery and support for the entire firm, including engineering and operations teams.
• Lead onboarding and offboarding with seamless access aligned to workflows.
• Maintain documentation of IT assets, access protocols, and ticket workflows.
• Deploy and manage Mac and Windows devices; handle VPN, firewalls, and network security.
• Automate provisioning/deprovisioning with Rippling, Okta, Google Workspace, and FreeIPA.
• Design and maintain secure network infrastructure and zero-trust access models.
• Develop automation scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for provisioning and monitoring.
• Coordinate with vendors to evaluate new products and resolve IT issues.
