MIDFLORIDA Credit Union is seeking an IT Security Administrator in Lakeland, FL to join our security team and handle frontline IT security tickets, engage in remediation tasks, and support security platforms. Qualifications

• 3+ years of IT experience preferred; entry-level with education/certifications may be considered.
• Foundational understanding of IT Security concepts (least privilege, MFA, endpoint, email, web security, DLP, incident response).
• Experience with Windows, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, endpoint management, identity platforms, ticketing systems, or enterprise security tools is preferred.
• Strong customer service, analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage routine tickets, assigned tasks, and project support with attention to detail.
• Basic project coordination skills: tracking actions, documenting updates, following up with stakeholders.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to work independently and in a team.
• Relevant IT/security certifications (e.g., Network+, Security+, Microsoft fundamentals) preferred.
• Associate/Bachelor’s degree in MIS/ cybersecurity/ IT or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as frontline resource for IT Security ticket queue: review, triage, document, resolve routine requests and tasks.
• Remediate routine tickets and corrective actions; document steps and escalate when needed.
• Assist with administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT Security platforms (identity, endpoint, email, web, DLP, cloud, monitoring).
• Support user access and authentication activities: MFA, security group changes, access review follow-up, identity requests.
• Perform initial review/validation of security alerts and system notifications per procedures.
• Assist IT Security projects: coordinate tasks, track actions, test solutions, maintain docs, support deliverables.
• Collaborate with other departments, vendors, and teams to complete remediation activities.
• Maintain procedures, knowledgebase, remediation notes, and records for assigned responsibilities.
• Identify opportunities to improve ticket handling, documentation, and workflows.
• Exercise sound judgment within defined limits and security guidelines.
• Provide technical solutions in support of MIDFLORIDA’s electronic services.
• Communicate professionally with departments, vendors, and teams to promote collaboration.
