Job summary

SmartBank is seeking an IT Resource Technician to support bank IT systems, hardware, and peripherals. You will handle procurement, deployment, inventory, and asset lifecycle while working with vendors and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include deploying equipment, configuring devices, and providing on-site and remote support to associates. Weekend or after-hours work may be required to meet project deadlines and SLAs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related field or Basic Certification (CompTIA A+, Network+).
• 2–3 years of experience in LAN/WAN operations including workstations and peripherals.
• Strong customer service mindset and ability to work with internal/external customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and technical support to associates via on-site and remote assistance.
• Deploy, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot computers, peripherals, software, and related technology systems.
• Manage and maintain technology assets including inventory tracking, deployment, return processing, and disposal.
• Support Microsoft Intune device deployments and ongoing workstation management.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Microsoft Teams Rooms and collaboration technologies.
• Respond to service requests and work orders while meeting SLAs.
• Deploy new equipment across branch and office locations.
• Diagnose hardware, software, OS, and peripheral issues; coordinate repairs and escalations.
• Maintain organized inventory and documentation of assets.

That's the SmartBank way.Position Summary:The IT Resource Technician supports the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of the Bank’s IT systems, hardware, and peripherals under the direction of the IT Resource Coordinator. This role assists with equipment procurement, deployment, inventory management, and the full lifecycle of SmartBank IT assets. The technician also coordinates with vendors and supports day-to-day project deliverables related to IT equipment. Success in this position requires reliable technical support and a commitment to providing a WOW experience with every service interaction.Major Duties and Responsibilities:Upholds SmartBank Core Values and Core Purpose.Adheres to and embraces the SmartBank Way by Acting Smart, Looking Smart and Being Smart.Provide exceptional customer service and technical support to associates through both on-site and remote assistance.Deploy, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot computers, peripherals, software, and related technology systems.Manage and maintain technology assets, including inventory tracking, equipment deployment, return processing, and disposal.Support Microsoft Intune device deployments and ongoing workstation management.Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Microsoft Teams Rooms and collaboration technologies.Respond to service requests and work orders while meeting established service level agreements (SLAs).Deploy new equipment and technology solutions to employees across branch and office locations.Diagnose hardware, software, operating system, and peripheral issues, coordinating repairs and escalations as needed.Maintain organized inventory and workspace standards while ensuring accurate asset documentation and recordkeeping.Collaborate effectively with team members while independently prioritizing workloads, communicating status updates, and recommending process improvements.Position Requirements and Qualifications:Education and Experience:Associate degree in area of specialty or Basic Certification (CompTIA A+, Network +, or above)Minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience in the day to day operation of LAN/WAN networks including workstations, client servers, and peripheralsKnowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures associated with computer-based systems.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Exhibit a strong commitment to providing outstanding operational support services to internal and external customers; demonstrate a strong commitment to operational support consistent with high customer expectations.Ability to perform well under pressure.Ability to manage/ tract lifecycle of all SmartBank assets within inventory system.Thorough knowledge of computer hardware, software applications, and operating systems, and the ability to effectively support banking IT environment.Work Conditions:Must be able to work nights and weekends as needed for after-hours projects.Must be willing to attend training classes and meetings if required.Able to routinely stand, sit, bend and stoop. Occasionally lift or carry loads up to 50 pounds.Frequently and regularly required movements using wrists, hands, and/or fingers.Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare/inspect documents or products and operate machinery.Ability to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.May be required to travel to various branch locations.
