Job summary

SmartBank is seeking a customer-focused Teller to join our team in Franklin, TN. You will greet clients, process deposits and withdrawals, and support branch operations with accuracy and integrity.

This role requires 1+ year banking experience, strong math and communication skills, and a commitment to excellent service. Regular attendance is essential, with occasional travel to other branches and Saturday shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associates degree preferred.
• Minimum one year of banking experience preferred.
• Sales experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and integrity required.
• Proficiency with MS Windows and basic computer skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Create a WOW client experience by greeting and assisting customers.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures and branch operations.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and other transactions accurately.
• Handle account maintenance requests and cashier’s drawer balancing.
• Support cash handling and masked cash drawer controls.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with banking regulations.
• Travel to different branch locations may be required.
• Occasional Saturdays work coverage.

Maintains an acceptable balancing record per established standards.Take responsibility for achieving objectives, and is accountable for his/her results, actions and decisions.Compliance & Risk Management:Adhere to SmartBank’s established polices and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local banking and industry related laws and regulations. This includes and is not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, and bank security policies and procedures.Complete required paperwork when applicable to report any discrepancies or suspicious activity to the Assistant Financial Center Manager, Financial Center Manager or Security Officer.Perform other duties as assigned.Position Requirements and Qualifications:Education & Experience:High school diploma required.
