Job summary

Minnesota IT Services is seeking an IT Project Manager to oversee small to medium IT projects from initiation through closure. The role supports the PMO and coordinates cross-functional teams across the Department of Health.

Telework is eligible, with most work performed onsite in St. Paul, MN. Ideal for candidates with PM experience, strong communication, and a practical understanding of project lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years in IT project management.
• Experience documenting and reporting across all project phases.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams with technical and business stakeholders.
• Knowledge of PM methodologies and MS Office tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication with a customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage small to medium IT projects through initiation to closure.
• Support PMO with project intake, portfolio reports, and system administration.
• Assist senior PMs on more complex programs and portfolios.
• Ensure project controls: scope, schedule, risks, issues, changes, and quality.
• Maintain documentation and provide status updates to stakeholders.
