Minnesota IT Services is seeking an Advanced IT Project Manager to oversee projects for the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA). The role involves project managing IT solutions and services delivered statewide, focusing on planning, scheduling, and execution.
Candidates should have at least four years of experience in IT project management and familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies. This position allows telework eligibility for applicants residing in Minnesota or bordering states with supervisory approval.
Advanced IT Project Manager. Supported by Minnesota IT Services, this position serves the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) and involves project managing the development, enhancement, or retirement of complex IT and business area solutions, systems, processes and services delivered statewide.
Telework is eligible for applicants residing in Minnesota or a bordering state with supervisory approval; candidates must live within 50 miles of the primary work location.
Act as focal point for initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing projects using industry best practices and standards outlined in PMBOK and MNIT guidelines.
Manage project planning, scheduling, scope, risk, change control, status reporting, issue resolution, and other project controls to ensure quality and consistency across multiple projects.
Education in Information Technology (IT) or an IT‑related field may substitute for experience as follows: a master’s degree for 18 months of experience; a bachelor’s degree for one year; and an associate’s degree for six months.
