University of Central Florida (UCF) IT division seeks an IT Project Manager I to support the Programs and Initiatives Management Office. You will coordinate multiple technology projects, track deliverables, and support executive communications to advance strategic initiatives across the IT organization.

The role emphasizes planning, execution, and monitoring of complex projects, with focus on alignment to budgets, timelines, and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 2+ years of relevant project management experience or 6+ years with high school diploma.
• Experience with IT projects, programs, or operational initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support multiple technology projects from initiation through implementation.
• Monitor progress, track milestones, and provide status updates to leadership.
• Create and maintain project documentation, schedules, and records.
• Facilitate meetings and stakeholder communications to ensure collaboration.
• Partner with executive stakeholders and technical teams to advance initiatives.
• Track budgets and financial data to support reporting and compliance.
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies; support AI/automation initiatives.
• Maintain PMO tools and documentation standards per best practices.
• Participate in lessons learned and continuous improvement sessions.
• Collaborate with senior PMs and IT leadership on strategic planning.
