Job summary

University of California, Irvine is seeking a Project Manager within the Office of Information Technology (OIT) PMO to coordinate cross‑functional IT initiatives and manage project artifacts, schedules, risks and issues.

Under supervision of Senior Project Manager, you will apply PM frameworks, develop guidelines, and support audits while working with business users and technical staff across campus. Must reside in California and have strong communication, organization, and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
• Less than 1 year to 1 year of experience in building project plans, schedules, establishing project timelines, defining milestones, and deliverables in a business and/or higher education and/or technology environment.
• Professional certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate cross‑functional IT projects, maintain project artifacts, schedules, risk/action/issue logs, and status reports.
• Apply PMO guidelines and SDLC knowledge to manage limited scope projects and assist in audits.
• Lead meetings with business users and technical staff, track tasks, and report project status.
