Summary of Work
The Judicial Council seeks one IT Project Manager to administer branch IT projects and coordinate needed functions with various Judicial Council offices, courts, justice partners, and vendor participants. The manager will drive IT modernization including AI initiatives across education, pilots, research, communications, and tool assessments, ensuring alignment with the branch direction.
The position will manage IT projects from initiation through implementation, track progress, and assist with reporting and related activities. The IT Project Manager will use MS Office tools—including SharePoint and Copilot—and ServiceNow, manage complex spreadsheets, and must be available with video turned on during meetings.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Over three (3) years of experience managing multiple medium complex projects.
- Demonstrated experience in developing project approach, plans and schedules.
- Proven track record in leading, organizing, and coordinating multiple work activities simultaneously.
- Proven track record in delivery of on-time, on-budget projects with a high degree of user satisfaction and quality.
- Proven track record implementing varying principles and techniques of project management, including the ability to develop and track complex project plans, manage risks, manage scope, and manage resources.
- Experience in managing project financials (budgeting, forecasting, tracking and reconciliation).
- Experience applying project management skills to application development.
- Knowledge of product development principles.
- Proven track record of managing complex relationships among customers and stakeholders on projects which has significant executive oversight.
- Proven track record of building coalitions among various stakeholders.
- Excellent conflict resolution skills.
- Experienced at establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
- Experienced with the principles of full life cycle systems design, development, and deployment.
- Experienced with providing clear goals, responsibilities, and providing measurable performance and feedback.
- Excellent analytical capabilities and the ability to breakdown complex ideas into manageable pieces.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with both technical and non-technical audiences, including creating and presenting executive summaries to steering committees and other executive level leadership.
- Experienced with MS Office applications including SharePoint, Word, Excel, Project, and Visio.
- Knowledge of digital government and digital government strategies.
- Ability to identify and evaluate alternative solutions, costs and benefits.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, orally and in writing.
- Ability to attend MS Teams or Zoom meetings and participate via video.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- Knowledge of principles of case and data management systems.
- Recent experience within government agencies or public bodies with projects of a similar type.
- Certified project manager (PMP) with agile/scrum training and certification.
- Expert in MS Office tools including SharePoint development, managing multiple/complex spreadsheets in Excel.
- Demonstrated experience leveraging Microsoft Copilot or other AI driven productivity tools to streamline workflows, lead education and adoption efforts, and successfully deliver projects in emerging technology spaces.
