We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead technology initiatives from planning through successful delivery. This position will work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and leadership to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple IT projects throughout the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, implementation, and closeout.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, risk logs, and status reports.
- Coordinate across infrastructure, application development, security, operations, and business teams.
- Facilitate project meetings and communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and decisions to stakeholders.
- Identify potential roadblocks and develop solutions to keep projects moving forward.
- Manage project scope, priorities, resources, and competing deadlines.
- Partner with technical and business teams to define project requirements and expected outcomes.
- Support vendor relationships and third-party technology implementations.
- Ensure project documentation is complete, accurate, and consistently maintained.
- Help improve project management processes and delivery standards across the organization.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience managing IT or technology-focused projects.
- Experience overseeing complex, cross-functional projects involving both technical and business teams.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid environments.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities simultaneously.
- Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Monday.com, or similar platforms.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical stakeholders.
- PMP, Scrum Master, or other project management certification is preferred but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
This is a hybrid position based in Philadelphia and will begin as a contract opportunity with the intention of converting to permanent employment. The contract rate is $60–$80 per hour, depending on experience.
