Job summary

The University of Vermont is seeking an IT Professional to provide technical support, analyze implementation and ongoing enhancement of CHWB EHR systems, and support devices and software across the campus health initiative. You will collaborate with CHWB IT and clinic teams to prioritize requests, ensure security, and improve patient care through efficient information access.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and perform analysis related to implementation, operation, and ongoing enhancement of the CHWB EHR system, personal computing devices, medical devices, peripheral hardware, and other related software systems.
• Collaborate with the CHWB IT team to continuously assess and prioritize service requests and IT projects, providing exceptional customer service and follow-through.
• Participate in department risk assessments, security audits and system reviews of security controls.
• Work effectively with administrators, clinicians, students, and other staff to optimize the value of the EHR in clinical work and in accessing system information for the purpose of optimizing the quality of care and the efficient use of resources.
• Contribute to a welcoming and inclusive Center for Health and Wellbeing for all students and staff.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

All CHWB employees are considered Healthcare workers as defined in Vermont State Law. The following vaccinations are required for all CHWB employees: Rubeola (measles)- two rubeola vaccines, two MMR vaccines, OR a positive rubeola titer Mumps- two mumps vaccines, two MMR vaccines, OR a positive mumps titer Rubella- one rubella vaccine, one MMR vaccine, OR a positive rubella titer Varicella (chicken pox)- two varicella vaccines OR a positive varicella titer Tdap (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Acellular Pertussis) a one-time only dose for adults Hepatitis B- a series of two OR three vaccines (depending on manufacturer), followed by a positive Hepatitis B surface antibody. Tuberculosis (TB) screening: A negative “two step” PPD or a negative IGRA blood test (QuantiFERON Gold) Note: if you have had positive tuberculosis testing in the past it is very important that you send any records related to testing and/or treatment, and the results of your most recent chest x-ray.
