Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Act as liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams.
  • Elicit, analyze, document, and prioritize business requirements.
  • Lead discovery sessions, process reviews, and solution workshops.
  • Translate business needs into user stories, specifications, and acceptance criteria.
  • Manage product backlogs, roadmaps, and enhancement pipelines.
  • Prioritize work based on business value, risk, and feasibility.
  • Own application strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle planning.
  • Partner with leaders to align tech with business objectives.
  • Lead sprint planning and backlog grooming.
  • Track progress, risks, and milestones.
  • Drive adoption of new features and process improvements.
  • Review code quality and development standards.
  • Participate in architecture and design discussions.
  • Support production issues and coordinate resolution.

Job Details

The Product Owner II serves as the bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, owning the full lifecycle of business capabilities from requirements gathering through implementation and support. This role combines product ownership responsibilities with hands‑on technical development expertise, enabling the individual to translate business needs into effective solutions and directly develop enhancements when required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Partnership & Requirements Management Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams.
  • Elicit, analyze, document, and prioritize business requirements.
  • Lead discovery sessions, process reviews, and solution workshops.
  • Translate business needs into user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
  • Manage product backlogs, roadmaps, and enhancement pipelines.
  • Prioritize work based on business value, risk, and technical feasibility.
  • Product Ownership Own application strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle planning.
  • Partner with business leaders to ensure technology solutions align with organizational objectives.
  • Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and prioritization activities.
  • Track project progress, risks, dependencies, and delivery milestones.
  • Drive adoption of new features and process improvements.
  • Review code quality and ensure adherence to development standards.
  • Participate in architecture and technical design discussions.
  • Support production issues and coordinate resolution efforts.
Preference
  • 1+ years of experience in application development, business analysis, or product ownership.
Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other technical area.

Skills
  • Demonstrated experience gathering business requirements and converting them into technical solutions.
  • Hands‑on development experience in one or more technologies (e.g., .NET, Java, COBOL, APIs, Integration Platforms, SQL).
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to balance business priorities with technical considerations.
