Job summary

Levy Restaurants, in partnership with Texas A&M University Athletics, is seeking a driven IT Intern to support POS configuration, upkeep, and troubleshooting at concession stands during events.

Ideal candidates are IT/CS undergraduates with strong communication and problem-solving skills, willing to work evenings, weekends, and outdoors. You will gain hands-on experience with Square, Mashgin, and Micros POS systems in a fast-paced venue environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, networking, and operating systems.
• Familiarity with modern POS systems (Square, Mashgin, Micros).
• Display effective problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during events; able to work all Texas A&M Football games.
• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Support setup, configuration, and testing of POS hardware/software at concession locations.
• Serve as first point of contact for technical support to concession staff during events.
• Organize and maintain POS devices and cabling within concession stands.
• Monitor POS operations and address hardware/software issues promptly.
• Perform routine maintenance, software updates, and troubleshoot connections for POS terminals and printers.
• Assist with inventory tracking and documentation of POS equipment.
• Collaborate with IT team to resolve advanced technical problems.
• Assist in training staff on basic POS usage and troubleshooting.
