Job summary

Savan is seeking an IT Portfolio Management & Governance Project Manager to support the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) OCIO.

The role provides leadership for IT portfolio management, governance, strategic planning, program and project management, IT financial management, and related communications and documentation activities. You will be the primary customer contact, collaborate with DOT stakeholders, translate technical and financial information into actionable recommendations, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, information systems, finance, economics, or a related field.
• At least 10 years supporting federal IT organizations or CIO offices.
• At least 8 years in IT portfolio management, governance, or related programs.
• Experience leading teams and managing stakeholder relationships with government clients.
• Ability to translate complex technical and financial information into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contractor point of contact for DOT stakeholders and project team leadership.
• Lead project planning, staffing, scheduling, quality assurance, risk management, and delivery oversight.
• Coordinate activities across portfolio management, governance, strategic planning, and IT financial management.
• Prepare plans, reports, briefings, dashboards, and management deliverables.
• Facilitate meetings, agendas, minutes, and action-item tracking.
• Provide executive-level analysis and recommendations on portfolio performance.
• Support governance policy development and documentation repositories.
