Savan seeks an IT Portfolio Management & Governance Project Manager to support the U.S. DOT OCIO.

Lead a team delivering portfolio management, governance, strategic planning, and IT financial management, aligning with DOT priorities and executive expectations. Ideal candidate brings strong federal CIO-support experience, ability to manage complex workstreams, and communicates findings to executives and diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, information systems, finance, economics, project management, or related field.
• 10+ years of professional experience supporting federal IT organizations, CIO offices, IT portfolio management, governance, program management, or related functions.
• 8+ years in federal IT portfolio management, CPIC, IT governance, strategic planning, IT financial management, or program and project management.
• Experience leading teams and managing project schedules and deliverables with government stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze complex technical, operational, financial information and develop practical recommendations.
• Experience preparing executive briefings, dashboards, and client-facing deliverables.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• U.S. Citizenship; ability to obtain Public Trust; hybrid work in DC area.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contractor point of contact for DOT stakeholders and provide overall leadership for the project team.
• Lead project planning, staffing, scheduling, quality assurance, risk management, and delivery oversight.
• Coordinate IT portfolio management, governance, strategic planning, and financial management activities.
• Prepare plans, status reports, dashboards, and management deliverables.
• Facilitate meetings, prepare agendas, minutes, and action trackers.
• Provide executive-level analyses and recommendations on portfolio performance and IT investments.
• Support governance policy development and documentation templates.
• Ensure deliverables align with DOT priorities and timelines.
