Job summary

Monster Energy is seeking a Project Manager to join our IT PMO, leading website and custom application projects from kickoff to launch. You’ll blend Waterfall and Agile/Scrum approaches, guide cross-functional teams, and align with executives on priorities and delivery plans.

You’ll drive agile maturity, manage backlogs, and coordinate releases with engineering, QA, and DevOps, while ensuring governance and performance metrics are tracked across initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing software development projects.
• Proven experience delivering projects using both Waterfall and Agile/Scrum methodologies, including Scrum Master or delivery lead roles.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and CI/CD processes.
• Familiarity with CMS, APIs, and cloud hosting is a plus.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Strong vendor and agency management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead website and custom application projects with delivery approaches (Waterfall, Agile/Scrum, or hybrid).
• Develop comprehensive project plans for waterfall projects (scope, schedule, budget, risks).
• Facilitate Scrum events and backlog refinement; maintain velocity and quality.
• Establish and mature agile practices with engineering leadership.
• Translate business needs into epics and user stories; maintain prioritized backlog.
• Lead cross-functional teams through lifecycle: discovery to post-launch support.
• Coordinate release planning and deployments with engineering, QA, and DevOps.
• Liaise between sponsors, engineering, and executives on objectives and priorities.
• Track status using traditional and agile metrics and PMO templates.
• Manage scope, change control, and governance to support agile delivery.
• Maintain PMO documentation and adopt standard tools and dashboards.
