Job summary

BlueScope Buildings North America, Inc. is seeking a Regional System Support Specialist to install, maintain, and support IS hardware and software across the region.

The role may also recommend solutions spanning multiple locations to improve productivity and reliability. The ideal candidate will bring 5 years of desktop, network, and hardware support experience, with strong PC/server management skills and a relevant undergraduate degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years of relevant experience in desktop support, network administration, and computer hardware support.
• Proficiency with PC and server management systems.

Responsibilities

• Set initial priority of requests in Service Pro and assign appropriate resources.
• Manage site assets, inventory, and systems.
• Proactively monitor and maintain systems to support business productivity.
• Load and maintain authorized software on PCs.
• Place requisitions for new hardware and software once approved.
• Participate in the selection of team members as directed by the manager.
• Coordinate tasks with team members and provide feedback.
• Participate in and make recommendations during team meetings.
• Collaborate with peers to understand and support new technologies deployed within the company.
