Job summary

WashU IT is seeking a strategic leader to oversee business operations, including finance, HR, and procurement, while coordinating across IT leadership and central university offices. The role drives standardized workflows, reporting, and continuous improvement across functions.

The candidate will manage the administrative team, oversee policy, and partner on budget planning, forecasting, and vendor management, ensuring compliance and efficiency across IT operations.

Qualifications

• Experience managing business operations, finance, procurement, administrative functions, and process improvement initiatives.
• Experience working across multiple stakeholder groups and business functions.
• Financial Management and supervision experience.
• No specific certification or license required; broad background acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight and coordination of IT business operations including finance, HR, supply chain, and admin functions.
• Partner with IT leadership and central offices on budget, forecasting, reporting, procurement, workforce, policy, and operations.
• Own quarterly IT Balanced Scoreboard, calendars, training/compliance tracking, and leadership reporting.
• Standardize workflows with SOPs and improve ServiceNow and Workday workflows.
• Manage finance and HR approvals with COO and CFO; lead process-improvement efforts with workflow mapping and metrics.
• Coordinate logistics for major meetings and leadership events; oversee disaster recovery drills.
