Job summary

The New York City Police Department is seeking a qualified Computer Associate (Operations) to join ITSD and support citywide technology services. You will handle Active Directory administration, service queue management, and hardware provisioning while balancing real-time service desk requests and remote troubleshooting across agency systems.

You will work under supervision to diagnose complex issues, deploy enterprise software, and coordinate with IT leadership on recurring incidents and system

Qualifications

• Certificate from an accredited technical school with specialization in computer operations and 2 years of full-time computer operations experience, or a college degree with 3 years of relevant experience, or a four-year high school diploma with 4 years of experience.
• Combination of education and experience that meets the above and at least 2 years of related work in a large-scale IT environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide citywide technical support under general supervision.
• Administer Active Directory and manage user accounts, groups, and OUs.
• Manage ServiceNow tickets and coordinate with IT teams for issue resolution.
• Deploy and maintain enterprise workstations, servers, and printers, and test enterprise software.
• Troubleshoot network, hardware, and software issues, including remote work and DAS systems.
