Job summary

Arizona State Land Department in Phoenix is seeking an IT Operations Manager to lead a team responsible for desktops, servers, networks, and the Department's technology stack, with emphasis on security and compliance. The role requires coordinating cost-effective IT solutions, managing vendors, and driving improvements under CIO oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or proven equivalent in industry.
• 5+ years of related IT experience in IT-App Support, IT-Development, IT-Networking or similar field.
• Leadership or management experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage system administrators for server infrastructure, security, networks and daily operations.
• Serve as lead Information Security Officer; ensure IT security compliance with policies.
• Provide operations support; resolve help desk tickets; provision cloud resources.
• Develop IT best practice guides and ensure staff guidance on systems usage.
• Prepare risk reports and present trends and initiatives to agency leadership.
• Coordinate staff development, retention, and talent management.
• Maintain, administer, and troubleshoot agency networks.
• Lead multiple IT projects with milestones, timelines and resource allocation.
• Apply Arizona Management System principles and pursue continuous improvements.
