You will manage projects from planning through implementation, coordinating stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery aligned with organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IMS/PM or related field.
• Five years of experience in computer systems analysis, design, programming, and project management.

Information Technology Project Manager Type: Long-term Contract (potential for conversion) Location: Glendale, AZ Work Setting: Hybrid (Will start fully onsite, with potential for up to three remote days per week) Our client, a large and growing Arizona public sector organization, is seeking an experienced Information Technology Project Manager to lead enterprise technology initiatives that support critical business operations and community services. This is an excellent opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of technology projects while partnering with business stakeholders, executive leadership, and third-party vendors to deliver high-impact solutions. You'll oversee projects from planning through implementation while ensuring they are delivered on schedule, within budget, and aligned with organizational objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale, complex IT projects involving cross-functional business and technical teams.
• Gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements with stakeholders.
• Prioritize project work based on organizational needs, timelines, and available resources.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
• Coordinate internal teams, external vendors, and implementation partners throughout project lifecycles.
• Prepare and review RFPs, bid specifications, contracts, change orders, and related project documentation.
• Evaluate vendor proposals and participate in vendor and contractor selection.
• Present project status updates, milestones, risks, and budget information to stakeholders and leadership.
• Provide technical guidance and project support across multiple departments.
• Collaborate with software vendors to configure solutions and resolve implementation issues.
• Conduct project assessments to ensure solutions meet business objectives and user requirements.
• Stay current on emerging technologies, industry trends, and project management best practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Management Systems, Project Management, or a related field.
• Five (5) years of experience in computer systems analysis, design, programming, and project management. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered. One year of relevant experience may substitute for each year of required education.
