Our client is a growing, privately backed infrastructure business is hiring an IT Operations Manager to take ownership of its corporate technology environment and employee support experience.
The position combines hands-on technical work with operational leadership. You will remain directly involved in solving difficult issues while improving service delivery, strengthening security, and creating a more consistent experience for employees.
What You'll Own
- Administration and continuous improvement of the Microsoft 365 environment, including Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, licensing, and access controls
- Endpoint management for a mixed Windows and macOS environment
- Hardware procurement, configuration, deployment, maintenance, replacement, and secure retirement
- Device enrollment and provisioning through technologies such as Windows Autopilot, Jamf Pro, and Apple Business Manager
- Escalated support for complex identity, access, endpoint, collaboration, and business application issues
- Endpoint protection, encryption, patching, vulnerability remediation, and compliance monitoring
- Joiner, mover, and leaver processes, ensuring employees have the correct equipment and access throughout their employment lifecycle
- Support standards, service-level expectations, performance reporting, escalation procedures, and user communications
- Secure remote connectivity and internet access using Zscaler or a comparable platform
- Technology setup and deployment for new offices, project locations, and distributed teams
- Vendor management, purchasing standards, equipment refresh planning, and annual budget input
- Technical documentation, operational runbooks, knowledge articles, and employee self-service resources
- Automation of repetitive support and administrative tasks using modern scripting and AI-enabled tools
What We're Looking For
- Five or more years of experience across IT support, systems administration, workplace technology, or endpoint engineering
- Previous responsibility for leading support delivery, supervising team members, or independently owning an IT support function
- Strong administration experience within Microsoft 365 and Entra ID
- Practical knowledge of Intune, Conditional Access, Windows Autopilot, and identity lifecycle management
- Experience supporting both Windows and Apple devices in a business environment
- Working knowledge of Jamf Pro, Apple Business Manager, or similar Apple management tools
- A solid understanding of endpoint security, MFA, encryption, device compliance, threat protection, and patch management
- Experience with remote monitoring and support platforms such as NinjaOne, ConnectWise, Datto, or equivalent
- The ability to troubleshoot difficult issues personally while also creating scalable processes
- Experience supporting employees across multiple offices, remote locations, or active project sites
- Clear communication skills and the judgment to work effectively with employees at every level of an organization
