Job summary

Action Target is seeking an IT Operations Supervisor to lead the day-to-day IT environment in Utah. You will manage a small IT team, oversee infrastructure and service desk, and drive reliable, secure operations with thoughtful adoption of new technology to reduce cost and risk.

You will supervise budget planning, vendor contracts, and ensure audit-ready documentation while supporting security frameworks like CMMC/NIST 800-171 and modern endpoint management.

Qualifications

• - 3-5 years of IT leadership with direct people management; manufacturing or multi-site experience preferred.
• - Practical experience with ITIL/ITSM processes (incident, request, problem, change, knowledge).
• - Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, networking, virtualization, backup/recovery, and endpoint management.
• - Experience with security frameworks and audits; CMMC or NIST 800-171 experience preferred.
• - Experience managing budgets, vendors, contracts, renewals, and SLAs.
• - Sound judgment when evaluating technology on cost, risk, and lifecycle.
• - Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• - Bachelor's degree or equivalent; IT certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT operations. Manage and develop system administrators and service desk staff; set service expectations, manage escalations, and ensure clear communication.
• Oversee infrastructure: networks, servers, storage, identity, endpoints, patching, backups, monitoring, capacity, and lifecycle.
• Drive service and reliability: set targets, manage incidents, perform root cause analysis, and improve service desk performance.
• Support audio-visual systems: ensure conference rooms and events operate reliably.
• Manage the budget: forecast IT spending, justify capital requests, and control costs.
• Maintain security and compliance: access controls, endpoint security, logging, vulnerability remediation, and change management; support CMMC/NIST 800-171 and audit-ready docs.
• Manage vendors: oversee providers, contracts, renewals, SLAs, and performance reviews.
• Apply AI where it delivers value: governed AI and automation for ticket triage, knowledge, and routine IT work.
