Job summary

Clay is scaling its IT function and seeks an IT Operations Engineer to own the operational backbone. You’ll manage MDM, CMDB, and vendor relationships while partnering on change management and IT projects.

The role emphasizes accuracy, governance, and automation to support rapid growth in a fast-moving tech environment. You will work with security to meet SOC 2 and ISO 27001 benchmarks, maintain SaaS governance, and ensure documentation stays current.

Qualifications

• 6–8+ years in IT, operations, systems, or infrastructure at scale.
• Hands-on ownership of IT systems, security controls, and data integrity.
• Deep MDM experience with device fleets and enrollment workflows.
• Strong scripting and automation skills across macOS and Windows.
• Extensive SOC 2 and ISO 27001 familiarity and evidence collection.
• End-to-end ITAM/CMDB ownership, asset reconciliation, and vendor liaison.

Responsibilities

• Own MDM management for Mac and Windows environments, with deployment and remediation.
• Maintain CMDB/ITAM data, asset maps, vendor relationships, and procurement flow.
• Manage contracts, renewals, license true-ups, and vendor performance.
• Support SOC 2 and ISO 27001 readiness through access reviews and offboarding rigor.
• Administer and govern the SaaS stack (G Suite, Slack, Zoom, etc.).
• Keep technical docs, runbooks, and configuration records up to date.
• Collaborate with Head of IT on change management and IT projects.
