Job summary

Axle is seeking an IT Operations Technical Lead to oversee hybrid cloud and on-premise infrastructure, combining hands-on technical leadership with ITIL-based operations to ensure reliability and scalability for AI/ML workloads.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in Unix/Linux, 5+ years leading ops teams, strong scripting, cloud experience (AWS/GCP/Azure), and a track record in automation, patching, and security compliance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years hands-on Unix/Linux in large-scale distributed environments.
• 5+ years leading operations teams and ITIL implementations.
• Experience with incident management, patching, hardening, and production support.
• Experience with CI/CD and automation tools.
• Experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• GPU-enabled environments for AI/ML workloads.
• Familiarity with NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, FISMA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT operations aligned with ITIL processes.
• Manage Linux and Windows across cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
• Own incident response and root cause analysis.
• Design and maintain golden images, patching strategies, and system hardening standards.
• Lead patch management and vulnerability remediation.
• Develop automation solutions using AI-assisted development.
• Support AI/ML workloads and GPU environments.
• Oversee monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability.
