Job summary

Housing Works in New York, NY is seeking an IT Operations Manager to ensure the stability and efficient operation of our IT systems. You will collect data, generate insights, and present findings to management to guide technology investments.

You will lead IT staff, assign tasks, perform audits, plan upgrades, and collaborate with other departments to support projects and maintain security and compliance. We offer healthcare plans, PTO, and an educational benefit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in computer science or related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in an IT role.
• 2-3 years’ experience in a supervisory position.

Responsibilities

• Manage IT staff and ensure data is collected and analyzed to improve systems.
• Provide guidance and assign tasks to the internal IT team.
• Ensure tasks are performed correctly and information properly collected and analyzed.
• Inspect current standards and provide a roadmap to keep equipment up to date.
• Perform audits on IT Systems to ensure proper procedures are followed.
• Help with documentation and training to ensure Housing Works staff can utilize new technologies.
• Work with other members of the Operations team to plan projects and improve workspace.
• Develop network troubleshooting strategies to reduce downtime and costs.
• Create plans to upgrade network software when updates are available.
• Ensure network operations continue smoothly during problems.
• Stay updated with new network tech and report to executives quarterly.
• Collaborate with other department managers for growth and maintenance.
• Provide proactive checks and support to VPs and C-suite.
