Job summary

Buildertrend is seeking an Enterprise Technology Intern in Omaha, NE, to support IT operations this summer. You will handle real tickets from week one and learn from senior IT, systems, and security teammates. The role runs through summer 2027 withMonday–Friday hours and no weekend shifts.

You will set up equipment for new hires, image laptops, manage the ticket queue, and assist with software rollouts and AV upgrades. The program emphasizes practical, hands-on learning and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in information technology, computer science, MIS, or a related field.
• Sophomore standing or above preferred.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable and organized with ability to own a ticket queue.

Responsibilities

• Provide first- and second-tier IT support for hardware, software, network and account access issues.
• Set up new-hire equipment, image laptops and process offboarding equipment returns.
• Manage the ticket queue, track assets and handle basic AD and SSO administration.
• Write help articles, setup guides and runbooks to increase team self-sufficiency.
• Partner on small projects like software rollouts and conference room AV upgrades.
• Learn endpoint management and Jira as well as basic networking.
• Embrace using AI to enhance work while learning and ensuring quality of output.
