The Louisiana Department of Agriculture & Forestry is seeking an IT Supervisor to join the IT team in Baton Rouge. The role supervises the IT Help Desk, coordinates hardware projects, and ensures efficient IT operations across divisions.

Applicants should have extensive IT experience and appropriate degrees, with strong leadership and project planning skills. This is an on-site, department-wide vacancy; certification and travel may be required.

Formación

• Six years of information technology experience or six years in IT plus four years in IT-related work.
• Associate’s degree in information technology plus four years of IT experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus four years of IT experience.
• Master’s degree plus three years of IT experience.

Responsabilidades

• Supervises IT Help Desk staff and oversees daily operations.
• Manages hardware, software, and technical support requests.
• Oversees IT equipment inventory and procurement recommendations.
• Monitors network and system performance at remote locations.
• Plans and leads departmental IT projects and system improvements.
• Develops and coordinates technical training for staff.
