We are seeking a motivated and technically capable Network Technician to support the design, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure. This position is ideal for an early-career network professional who wants to develop hands-on experience with routing, switching, wireless, network security, and network operations.
The Network Technician will work closely with senior network engineers, architects, security teams, and infrastructure teams to maintain reliable, secure, and high-performing network services.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure.
- Support enterprise LAN, WAN, wireless, VPN, and Internet connectivity.
- Configure and troubleshoot switches, routers, wireless access points, firewalls, and related network equipment.
- Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity using network management and monitoring tools.
- Respond to network incidents, service requests, and escalations in accordance with established procedures.
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues involving TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, and wireless networks.
- Assist with network upgrades, hardware replacements, software upgrades, and technology refresh projects.
- Perform basic network configuration changes and validate changes after implementation.
- Assist senior engineers with network design, implementation, and optimization activities.
- Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, configurations, and asset information.
- Participate in network testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
- Follow established change-management, incident-management, and security procedures.
- Assist with network security initiatives, including access controls, segmentation, authentication, and security policy implementation.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, systems, and application teams to resolve technical issues.
- Escalate complex network problems to senior engineers or architects when appropriate.
- Stay current with networking technologies, tools, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in network engineering, network administration, IT infrastructure, or a related technical role.
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking, Ethernet, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and subnetting.
- Familiarity with routing and switching concepts and protocols.
- Basic understanding of wireless networking and Wi-Fi technologies.
- Experience troubleshooting network connectivity using tools such as ping, traceroute, nslookup/dig, packet capture, and network monitoring platforms.
- Familiarity with network devices from vendors such as Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, Fortinet, or equivalent.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to document technical issues and follow established procedures.
- Ability to work independently while knowing when to escalation issues.
