Job summary

Frankenmuth Insurance seeks an IT Manager – Systems Administration to lead the delivery and operations of enterprise systems. You will guide a 10-person team supporting Active Directory, Microsoft 365, ServiceNow, and Cisco Webex while partnering with IT leadership to align with security and reliability goals.

You will drive upgrades, manage vendors, and ensure secure, scalable solutions; strong communication and cross-functional collaboration are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience managing IT teams
• 5+ years hands-on experience in a systems administration or enterprise systems role
• Experience establishing, scaling collaboration technologies such as Microsoft 365 and telepresence solutions
• Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives with competing priorities
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

• Ensure application and service uptime; report outages and remediate quickly.
• Implement and maintain security controls across applications and services.
• Collaborate on audits/health checks and remediation work.
• Plan and manage upgrades and patches across the IT environment.
• Oversee vendor management, contracts, and budgeting.
• Manage workload and priorities for team members.
• Maintain up-to-date contact lists for enterprise apps.
• Meet with business units to understand needs and identify shadow IT.
• Develop operating procedures and technical diagrams.
