Job summary

The City of Woodstock IT Department seeks an Information Technology Manager to plan, organize, coordinate, and supervise daily operations. You will oversee PT staff, manage infrastructure and security, and guide technology projects under the IT Director.

Responsibilities include maintaining servers/storage/virtualization, overseeing Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and cloud services, and ensuring reliable operations of the City's technology environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, MIS, Cybersecurity, or related field with at least three years of progressively responsible IT experience including supervisory responsibilities.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Active Directory/Entra ID, networking, virtualization, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems.
• Professional customer service and technical support experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist IT Director in planning, implementing, and maintaining the City's technology infrastructure and strategic technology initiatives.
• Manage the administration, maintenance, and security of servers, storage systems, virtualization platforms, and cloud services.
• Oversee part-time IT staff including performance evaluations, scheduling, training, and mentoring.
• Oversee the City's Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID, licensing, and related cloud technologies.
