Job summary

Western Alliance Bank, a subsidiary of Western Alliance Bancorporation, is seeking an IT Manager III in Enterprise Application Services to lead the Common Services teams, overseeing roughly 10 key applications and driving secure, on‑time delivery in a high‑pressure environment.

You will partner with business and technology stakeholders to address customer needs, manage complex deployments, mentor engineers, and shape strategic IT initiatives across cyber products and service standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of IT experience in IT--App Support, IT--Development, IT--Networking or similar field.
• Bachelor's degree in related field required.
• Previous leadership experience required.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Financial Services/Banking domain preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory and legal compliance obligations and industry standards.
• Experience managing technology teams to deliver complex products or services.
• Experience with KPI tracking and data to identify improvements and growth opportunities.
• Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
• May require up to 25% travel.

Responsibilities

• Drive execution of Common Services roadmap with clear milestones and cross-functional alignment.
• Provide technical leadership and ensure adherence to engineering standards, security requirements, and enterprise architecture.
• Collaborate with business partners to address customer needs and resolve issues quickly.
• Oversee complex production deployments, releases, and cutovers with minimal risk.
• Ensure operational excellence through governance, resiliency testing, and DR readiness.
• Mentor engineers and promote modern engineering practices and automation.
