Job summary

Lifeworks, Inc. in Westwood, MA, is seeking a full-time IT Manager to lead technology strategy for ~450 users across 20 locations. The role blends hands-on IT work with staff supervision, vendor management, and transition of outsourced services in-house.

You will guide security, EHR, payroll systems, and Microsoft 365 administration while aligning with HIPAA requirements. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in IT/CS, 5+ years of IT leadership, and strong communication skills to partner with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum five years of progressively responsible information technology experience.
• Demonstrated hands-on administration of Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Entra ID.
• Experience supervising teams and managing external vendors or MSPs.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to translate technical concepts for leadership.
• Knowledge of HIPAA security requirements and healthcare data protection.

Responsibilities

• Oversees day-to-day IT operations, security, and strategic technology direction.
• Leads internal staff while transitioning outsourced IT services in-house.
• Administers Microsoft 365 tenant, AD identity, licensing, and endpoint management.
• Provides oversight for EHR, payroll, and other critical applications across the agency.
• Coordinates security risk assessments and maintains compliance with HIPAA and related policies.
