Job summary

University of Pennsylvania seeks an Information Technology Manager for the Division of Recreation and Intercollegiate Athletics (DRIA). You will supervise IT Support Specialists and deliver desktop/mobile IT/AV support, while guiding long-term IT strategy and coordinating with ISC. Ensure secure, policy-aligned environments and support major events.

The role involves collaboration with campus IT, policy maintenance, and weekend/evening coverage as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination.
• Customer-focused with excellent interpersonal skills in a busy environment.
• Experience managing technical staff and multiple projects concurrently.
• Proficiency with Windows 10, macOS, and O365; familiarity with Dell, Apple and Android products.
• Experience with Microsoft Teams and VMware Workspace ONE preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in athletics or higher education preferred.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical support to DRIA coaches and staff directly.
• Supervise one or more IT Support Specialists delivering desktop/mobile support.
• Maintain and manage production hardware and software for DRIA hardware lifecycle.
• Lead DRIA's partnership with ISC to address division tech needs.
• Engage users and build partnerships to inform IT/AV strategic planning.
• Create and maintain IT/AV documentation, SOPs, and system manuals.
• Oversee long-term IT/AV infrastructure strategy and DRIA's network connections.
• Provide onsite IT/AV support for major events and respond to priority issues.
