Job summary

The University of Pennsylvania seeks a Senior IT Support Specialist to deliver advanced technical support for Penn Wellness and its clinical services. You will be the primary interface between HireIT and Penn Wellness, ensuring reliable technology for patient care.

You will lead initiatives, troubleshoot complex issues, and coordinate IT services with security and privacy stakeholders to align with Penn’s health mission. Evening/weekend coverage may be required.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science and 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Experience providing technical support for contemporary client operating systems (Macintosh and Windows) and productivity applications, preferably in an academic computing or professional services environment.
Experience in supporting virtual desktop systems (Azure Virtual Desktop, IGEL, Imprivata).
Experience with supporting electronic medical record systems (Epic).
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to present technical materials clearly.

Responsibilities

Facilitate Wellness support, ensuring high availability and rapid response to technology issues.
Provide planning and strategic direction, gather requirements, and develop communications plans.
Interact daily with clients and provide top-tier support and consulting through HireIT intake.
Manage Wellness ticket queue and SLA, coordinate resources for campus locations.
Maintain technical documentation, knowledge base, and client communications.
