The Role

We are looking for an IT Manager who specializes in scaling operational infrastructure for high-growth startups and industrial environments.

This is not a traditional corporate IT role. You will own and evolve the systems that keep our teams productive, our facilities connected, and our operations running reliably across offices, processing facilities, and hardware deployments.

You will be responsible for building IT foundations that scale with the business, balancing speed, reliability, and operational rigor across both corporate and industrial environments.

You should be comfortable operating in environments that include office IT, warehouse and processing facilities, robotics and machine‑connected systems, and fast‑moving startup teams.

What You’ll Do
Own IT infrastructure and scale operational systems
  • Build and maintain IT systems that support rapid company growth
  • Ensure infrastructure is reliable across office and industrial environments
  • Proactively identify and resolve scaling bottlenecks before they impact operations
  • Create SOPs and scalable IT workflows
  • Document systems for onboarding, asset management, and incident response
  • Standardize IT operations across multiple sites
Own onboarding, offboarding, and day‑one readiness
  • Ensure all new hires are fully IT operational on Day 1
  • Manage laptop provisioning, device readiness, and inventory availability
  • Own onboarding/offboarding workflows, including access and account lifecycle management
  • Prevent delays through forecasting, procurement coordination, and inventory planning
Own IT asset management and inventory systems
  • Track laptops, peripherals, networking hardware, and operational equipment
  • Build scalable inventory and asset lifecycle management systems
  • Ensure visibility and accuracy across procurement and deployment
Own network reliability across offices and facilities
  • Design, maintain, and troubleshoot wired and wireless networks across all sites
  • Address recurring WiFi and connectivity issues across office and facility environments
  • Coordinate with ISPs and third‑party IT providers for escalation and long‑term fixes
  • Build redundancy and contingency plans for critical infrastructure
Support industrial and machine‑connected environments
  • Ensure stable connectivity for robotics, IoT devices, and processing equipment
  • Support machine‑connected networks where uptime directly impacts production and quality
  • Maintain reliable network performance in environments like the Tacoma processing plant, where connectivity impacts data capture, traceability, and operational throughput
  • Work closely with engineering, operations, manufacturing, and leadership teams
  • Ensure IT infrastructure aligns with operational and production needs
  • Support remote and onsite deployments across facilities
Manage IT systems, security, and SaaS ecosystem
  • Administer endpoint management and MDM platforms (Jamf, Kandji, Intune, etc.)
  • Manage Google Workspace, Windows and SaaS ecosystems
  • Implement practical cybersecurity and access control fundamentals
  • Ensure secure and scalable IT operations
  • Own account provisioning across Rippling, Google Workspace, Slack, Asana, CAD tools, and other systems
  • Ensure secure, consistent, and fast access setup for all employees
  • Manage identity systems, SaaS access, and permissions across the organization
Manage vendors and external partners
  • Coordinate internet providers, hardware vendors, and procurement partners
  • Manage third‑party IT support relationships where needed
  • Own escalation paths for infrastructure and connectivity issues
What You’ll Need
  • 5+ years in IT operations, infrastructure, or systems administration in high‑growth environments
  • Experience supporting both corporate IT and industrial/operational environments
  • Strong networking fundamentals (VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, switching, WiFi, redundancy)
  • Experience with onboarding automation, device lifecycle management, and IT asset systems
  • Familiarity with MDM and endpoint management platforms (e.g., Rippling)
  • Experience with Google Workspace and SaaS administration
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to operate under pressure
  • Ability to balance hands‑on execution with systems‑level thinking
  • Clear communication and high ownership mindset
  • Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast‑moving startup environments
Bonus if You Have Experience With
  • Manufacturing, robotics, or industrial operations
  • Warehouses, processing facilities, or OT environments
  • Machine‑connected infrastructure and IoT systems
  • Multi‑site network management
  • Cybersecurity and compliance fundamentals
  • Hardware deployment and operational scaling
  • Physical security systems and access control infrastructure
  • Food processing, seafood, or cold‑chain environments
