Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Specialist, IT M&A People Integration and Workforce Planning to own the people dimension of IT integration for active deals. You will build workforce baselines, map roles to IT taxonomies, and quantify synergies, working closely with HR Business Partners and IT leaders.

You will drive capacity planning across integration waves, manage capacity requests, and ensure accurate budget handovers and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 5–8 years of experience in workforce planning, HR business partnering, organizational change, or M&A integration with substantial people-workstream exposure.
• Discretion handling confidential headcount and compensation data, with defensible access controls.
• Experience quantifying and tracking workforce cost — headcount modelling, labour cost baselining, or benefit/synergy tracking.
• Workforce or delivery capacity planning experience: demand modelling, resource planning, or transition planning across organizations.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the IT workforce baseline for each deal, including population, profiles, roles, locations, and labour cost, with sources and refresh cadence.
• Segment workforce by placement, map to IT function taxonomy, validate with IT Function Leads.
• Reconcile baseline to HR records and explain joins, leavers, transfers.
• Maintain baseline as source for people-cost handover, budget inputs, capacity planning, and synergy tracking.
• Translate workforce baseline and integration schedule into a capacity view for each active deal.
• Own intake protocol for capacity requests and model transitions into IT function organizations.
• Track costs-to-achieve including retention, severance, backfill, and transition support.
• Coordinate talent-evaluation interviews and ensure a uniform process with HR leading.
